I can't say enough about positive things about Sue!

From the moment I contacted her she was prompt and attentive and had a way of making you feel you were her most important client. She is extremely approachable and fun to work with and is always there for even the smallest questions or needs. She had wonderful ideas and great resources but would make suggestions without making us feel our ideas or concerns were not valued and always treated our home and us with respect.

Sue pays incredible attention to detail and expects everyone who works with her to do the same. She is very good with letting you know where you can save money and where you would benefit to invest a little more to get a spectacular end result. It is obvious that she loves what she does… it is reflected in the designs she creates and in the way she treats those she works with. Our project turned out fabulous and I can’t wait to begin the next one. I am so thankful that I found her!

First of all, I want to say that I have never worked with someone who is as much of a professional as Sue Brook. She listens to what you have to say and gives a real shape and directions to your ideals, which is important to someone like me who knows what I like but has a difficult time putting it together or seeing the "big" picture, and making it happen. She also has an attention to detail and a standard for quality that takes a project from good to fantastic. Sue has also helped me to decide where I should splurge and where it is really not necessary, always with great results.

Beyond her professionalism, Sue Brook's actual design work is amazing. I have worked with Sue on several different occasions resulting in a gorgeous pair of one-of-a-kind drapes for my loft bedroom windows and a unique custom wall painting both of which, even after five years, makes me think "wow".

The most recent project Sue has worked on is the best and I think the most challenging yet. After moving back to my loft recently, I asked Sue to take my existing furniture and accessories (which consisted of traditional transitional, modern, and Asian styles) and make it "work". I cannot tell you how happy I am. She has made my loft a true home and a place I don’t want to leave. We have a few other projects in the planning stage and I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Sue helped our family with a significant remodel focused largely on a kitchen transformation.  She was tremendously helpful throughout the process.  Early on she brought terrific ideas to the table, while still listening carefully to our own creative ideas and the practical needs of our family.  Sue gathered our needs and wants and wove them into a beautiful and highly functional design.  During implementation, she helped us identify resources where appropriate while still giving us the flexibility to manage the project according to our needs.  We couldn't be more pleased with the result and I wouldn't change an inch of our newly designed kitchen.  I recommend Sue to friends and would definitely work with her again on any future projects.

Sue promised us a kitchen that would make us say "WOW" every time we entered it, and she kept her promise. We continue to be wowed by the beauty and functionality of our kitchen.

With four kids and indoor pets, we "live" in our home. Sue gave us a well-designed, beautiful kitchen that would withstand our active lifestyle. It looks like something out of a magazine but is very livable.

Sue took our color choices, surface needs, and lighting desires and pulled it all together to design exactly the kitchen we wanted but oftentimes couldn't express. She has a keen sense for people and their likes and dislikes. Oftentimes it seemed she knew us better than we knew ourselves and she would bring things to life with the vaguest ideas from us. She also saved us from ourselves in several matters and we absolutely trusted her judgment.

Sue was very sensitive to our budget and worked very hard to help us stay within it. She was also sensitive to our time constraints and was very flexible with respect to meeting times and taking phone calls.

Sue referred us to subcontractors that shared her same desire for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality service. We were happy with every subcontractor who contributed to our kitchen remodel. They made a great team. It was a bonus to see the pleasure and pride in all of their faces when they saw the finished product.

I thoroughly enjoy working with Sue.  She listens to me and is amazingly sensitive to what I want in a room.  She turns my thoughts of how I want a room to feel into a reality with choices of color, fabric and design.   Sue is an excellent problem solver.  She works within your budget; is very dependable and responsive.   We met by chance and that was a lucky day for me.

When Sue first visited us, I expected us to get some ideas about paint colors, carpeting, furniture arrangement, etc.  Instead, the first things she recommended were making changes in the lighting of the room, beefing up some of the woodwork to stand up to our “Big Boy” sofa, and thinking about layering the pieces in the room to provide the proper scale and balance.  Sue is very knowledgeable about construction, wiring, materials, etc., so not only did we receive expert advice on what would make the room visually pleasing, but also what was needed from the structural point of view.  She brought a unique perspective to our design dilemmas and helped us think about areas that we wouldn’t even have noticed.

I also learned a great deal about design in the process and appreciate Sue’s willingness to share her expertise and the reasons behind her thinking and recommendations.  I am much more confident in making changes now, and we have just begun a new project with Sue, this time our bedroom and office space.
